JOHN M. MACDONALD, P.E., Ph.D.
Professional Engineer & Consultant
Dr. MacDonald has nearly 40 years engineering experience, starting at General Motors in the 1980s at the Buick Motor Division in Flint Michigan. He has been in the Environmental field since 1995, primarily in Florida, his experience includes air and noise/vibration measurement, modeling, designing data acquisition systems and data analysis. In addition, his background also includes vibration measurements, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) related disaster site assessments, radiation measurements and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) stormwater work. He is a capable programmer as well and can write scripts in multiple languages to perform custom data analysis tasks and GIS functions.
EXPERIENCE
Experience as a FEMA Disaster Official, annual HAZWOPER training, experience in Soil Sampling. Expertise is supported by advanced technical skills, with proficiency in R, SQL, GIS, MATLAB/Octave, Python, C# and industry-standard environmental modeling tools.
CERTIFICATION
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.
NPDES Inspector certifications in FL and GA
